Here's some macro fun from Duncan Roo who's stomping out distasteful spam, it's funny because apparently he's a moderator. Anyone who's been on a forum or message board will know exactly what I'm talking about and how *annoying* it is. I'm not sure if it's anatomically correct with regards to the kangaroo legs (unless of course the big guy does yoga!) but so long as Duncan likes it then everyone's happy. The chosen colour scheme for the eyes is almost hypnotic to look at. ^^
This art gift isn't the mentioned Birthday present for 30th Sept; I should have that one done sometime this week (my macro art badly needs perspective).
Yeah, I modded for a while, we didn't get spambots back when I was at Arwing Landing (because we had a large moderator staff with decent power and two regular admins), but we got something nearly as bad: n00bs and screeching fanpersons (and even an occasional troll) who wouldn't take a hint. I resigned my post at AL a while back, but I still talk to the upper echelon of the place from time to time.
Cool picture, Duncan. Death to the annoying plauge of spambots that besmirch our beautiful forums! Still, isn't it easier to kill spambots with a wide-angle EMP bomb?
That's right - spambots you can deal with by ignoring it, trolls on the other hand ruin the fun for everyone no matter how many active mods you have. They just spam up the whole board and flame people until members start leaving...it's a real problem. ¬.¬
I agree with a EMP bomb but I also think a macro macropod would deal with spambots just as effectively. ^^
arrghhh not spam...noooooooooo..... im a admin so it becomes a right pain in the ass to deal with them, i took up learning PHP just so i could write a program to stop them from registering... about 1 in every 300 gets thru now
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
